Before I became a mum, my husband and I were free to come and go as we please, we threw ourselves into our respective careers, saving as much money as we could along the way in order to buy our first home together, booked holidays wherever we wanted to go and socialized with our mates to our heart's content. Our day to day schedule was pretty flexible around our work commitments which was fantastic. I was doing all the things in life I wanted to and didn’t really pay much attention to whether I was living a meaningful life or not, and truth be told, I probably didn’t even care at the time, I was happy enough right?
Once I became a parent, OH MY GOSH, I began to view the world through a completely different lens. The deep love I had for my beautiful little baby girls, stirred up emotions I didn't even know I was capable of feeling, making me realize that I wanted to do life so differently for them, for their future and for our family.
All of a sudden, these things became crystal clear to me -
+ I want to be an amazing role model for both my daughters.
+ I want to be someone they are both super proud of.
+ I want to look after myself so I can live my life to the max.
+ I want to do everything in my power to create magical memories together.
Our beautiful girls inspired me to live a more meaningful life and 15yrs into my parenting journey, I can say that I’ve found a way to live a life that really fulfills me. Living a meaningful life has meant getting to understand myself on a much deeper level, touch base with the things that bring me joy, give myself permission to do the things which light me up, and over time I’ve been able to make changes to my lifestyle in order to bring all of these beautifully unique elements together in a way which works for my life.
My life is not perfect, I’m not perfect, and I never aspire to be. I aspire to live a meaningful life fully embracing the ups and downs. Life’s challenges reveal within us our strength, courage and resilience, which are qualities we would never know we possessed if we did not experience struggle from time to time.
In order for my daughters to live their best lives, I need to be taking the action steps to live my life on my terms, one which I try my best to live with an open heart and mind & trusting that the answers I'm looking for already reside within me. I also love creating magical memories with my loved ones, embracing my creative side, caring for others and I’m learning to allow myself to be supported when I need it.
It has taken me years to get to this place and I'd love to

Once I realized I could live life on my terms, I got really excited! I'm still excited! I'm excited to see how my life is going to unfold for me in the days, weeks, months and years to come.
