The last few weeks I’ve been focusing on aligning my energy before I sit down to work, so that I’m feeling great and you know what happens?

I end up being super productive and getting so much done because I’ve taken the time to get my creative energy flowing through consciously.

Did you know that this is even a thing?

That you can intentionally raise your energy levels, so that you feel better and have more energy to get through your day.

I’m a big believer in designing my day around my energy levels, and this is all good and well, but there are times when I have to power through, and things need to get done.

So I’ve come up with a way that I can feel more aligned with my “to do” list, and still get shizzle done.

I make sure my energy levels are aligned before I sit down to work.

What does this even mean?

It means, that I take care of myself first and foremost each morning, and for me, this looks like this.

I let my body, wake up, in her own time and when she’s ready.

I meditate.

I journal when I feel the urge.

I pull an oracle card for the day.

I connect with my family.

I eat a yummy and nourishing brekkie most days.

I get out into nature in the morning, where I can.

I love, love, love the beach.

I move my body, because, for me movement is medicine.

I shower.

This is my “go to” energy alignment ritual, which works every time.

I fill myself up, so that I can get excited about my day ahead.

I don’t want to feel down in the dumps, about my “to do” list, so I ensure that I feel great, by taking care of myself as much as I can, and it’s working for me.

Even if I’ve not had a great night’s sleep, if I start my day in a positive way, and connect with myself first, my energy levels receive the boost they need, I start feeling creatively inspired and BAM, I’m aligned.

How do you know when you feel aligned?

You feel excited about your day!

You start getting creative ideas flowing into your mind!

You feel inspired about your life!

You have loads of energy, so you become super productive!

You find it easier to be grateful for what you have in your life!

When you start your day in a positive way, your day will play out in the same way, and it’s connected to our energy levels.

Just think about it, when you are energised, life appears far more exciting and it transforms our mindset, right?

We get excited about our life, we dream about all the exciting adventures we’d love to experience with our loved ones or even on our own.

When you boost your energy, you also boost your mood!

So, when I’m feeling grumpy, stressed, anxious or frustrated, I will ask myself, what I can do to boost my mood?

I listen to my intuition, because this is where I turn to for guidance each and every day, and I go and do, what my intuition guides me to do.

I do notice, that I tend to feel grumpy, stressed, anxious or frustrated, when I’m not making the effort to take great care of myself, and believe me, I go through these phases in my life too, just like you do.

My energy levels drop easily, when my husband/daughters argue with me, or I’m pushing them to do something that they really don’t want to do. I’ve noticed too, when I’m sitting at my laptop working for a few hours, or I’m using my phone for a long time, I can feel quite drained. I can also feel down, when I drop the ball with my self care, and I binge eat lots of processed foods.

It’s totally ok, for all these things to happen, I just make sure, I observe my energy levels, so that when this does happen, and it no doubt will, if you live a full life, with lots of things to do each day. It’s just about being aware, and knowing how to raise your energy, when you need to, so you can feel great in your skin again.

I’m much better at aligning my energy levels, because I’ve been experimenting with what works for me. I know how to consciously raise my energy levels immediately & I lean heavily on my trusty energy boosting activities.

I meditate.

I try to get more sleep.

I have a long shower.

I get out into nature.

I stand barefoot on the grass for a few minutes.

I hug a tree.

I go for a boogie board.

I go for a walk.

I eat.

I drink more water.

I listen to my favourite songs.

I’ll watch an inspiring TV show or movie.

I’ll listen to an inspiring podcast like my own podcast show Soul2SoulWellness, which I really love.

If I can, I wipe the rest of the day’s activities to rest & re-charge.

You see, the more I focus on my energy levels, tune into what my body needs on a day to day basis and give her what she craves, the…..

+ Less I push my way through my day

+ More productive I actually am.

+ More excited I feel about my life.

+ More grateful I am for each day.

+ More positive and upbeat I am with my loved ones.

+ More patient I am with myself.

+ Kinder I am to myself and others.

+ The more energy I have to give to others, because I feel great.

SO, now it’s time for you to create your “ENERGY BOOSTER” list, which will be unique to you.

You can keep it on your phone, or write it somewhere, where you can always see it.

I’m telling you, this is going to be a game changer for you, if you are feeling tired, lethargic or stressed out all the time.

When you incorporate your “ENERGY BOOSTERS” into your day to day, your energy levels are going receive the boost, they so dearly need right now.

I’ve included some prompters, for you, if you feel you need them.

What are your favourite ways to move your body?

What are your favourite ways to spend time with your loved ones?

What are your favourite things to do for yourself, when you’re on your own?

What foods and drink do you love to consume, that give you energy?

Where do you love to go, that helps you relax and re-energise?

What time does your body like to go to sleep and wake up each day?

What are your favourite places in nature to visit?

Start by including 1 small energy boosting activity into your day, then when you feel this has become a new positive habit for you, and you feel ready, add another energy boosting activity, and another, and another.

Here’s the beautiful thing about this…..this list can be limitless and can incorporate as many activities as you feel.

You will start feeling super confident in your ability, like I do, to energise yourself on a daily basis, and know how to feel great in your skin.

When you feel better, you do better in life, so I want to know, the positive energy boosting changes you are going to introduce into your day to day.
