WHY MAKING MISTAKES IS CRUCIAL TO THRIVING IN LIFE.....

Do you remember learning to walk?

Probably not.....

Do you remember your son or daughter learning to walk?

Hopefully you do.....

They needed to learn to crawl first, then pull themselves up, then balance without holding onto anything for support before they could even muster the courage to take their first few wobbly steps, only to fall on their cute little bottoms and then have to repeat this all over again.

Once they took those first few wobbly steps, they then tried again and again and again and again until they mastered the ability to walk confidently on their own.

You probably held their hands at the beginning, but at some point, you needed to let go, trusting them to figure it out for themselves right? They may have had to experience some falls along the way, but with your encouragement and support, they stood back up and tried again until eventually, they worked it out on their own.

The same goes for trying new things in life, there is no expiration date on this.

It's never too late, in fact, when we give ourselves permission

to try something new, we may find that it's something

we end up loving very much and the added bonus

being that our self confidence receives a boost too!

We may not feel competent to try a new activity,

but this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t give it a go right?

If you're heart is drawn to it, then go for it!

There are times in life where playing a new sport, transitioning to a new job or learning how to cook are experiences we are drawn to, but the fear of messing it up holds us back from giving this a go.

New experiences open up the door to new opportunities in life!

You may not have the skills at first, but if you give yourself time to learn, find a great mentor who can help you improve and throw yourself into this new experience with a positive attitude you will get better and hopefully have a great time as well.

You will also make mistakes along the way and this is a very important factor to take under consideration. Get comfortable with making mistakes, because the more mistakes you make, the more you learn, the faster you will find your way.

To really thrive, it’s important to take time to reflect on your mistakes. If you can identify why you made a mistake and learn from this, you will know what you need to focus on moving forward.

Now, it's your turn!

What new experience have you been wanting to try in your life?

Why are you holding yourself back?

My suggestion to you?

Live life to the full, throw caution to the wind

and embrace this adventure we call life.

Give yourself permission to do everything your heart desires in this lifetime.
