Our breath is so powerful and when we breathe deeply into our body, we instantly connect with ourselves, activate our body’s ability to relax and shift our attention to the present moment.

Last night as I was laying awake in bed, I listened to my husband breathing deeply next to me. Normally, I'd find this a little annoying as I love a quiet room, to fall asleep in, but for some reason, something inside me, told me to appreciate this moment. Feel grateful for his breath. Listening to his breath, meant he is alive, something I really appreciate and treasure. In this moment, I was reminded, how precious our breath is.

I must not take this for granted.

The reason you hear me harping on about slowing down and relaxing, across all my social media platforms, is because when we rush around every day, the first thing to be affected is our breath. Our breathe begins to shorten, we take less oxygen into our body, which affects our energy levels & our capacity to focus and think with a clear mind, significantly reduces.

When we are relaxed, our breath is more relaxed, breathing in and out becomes easier, we instantly, elevate our energy levels, helping us to think more clearly.

Meditation is such a beautiful simple practice, which brings together the opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply and boost our energy levels within a short period of time.

When I’m struggling with my mindset, I often, bring myself to a quiet space in my home, or out in nature, and just breathe. Just focusing on my breath for a few minutes, can be enough to calm my mind enough, to settle my anxiety and take the edge off. But if, I sit for longer, 20 minutes of connecting with my breath, can completely transform my day from stressful to more relaxed, because I've taken the time, to pay attention to the thoughts racing around my head.

Meditation is a practice, and like anything, that you commit to, you will get better and better at it, with time and patience.

I am always thankful, after I meditate, even, if I sometimes, have to have a quiet chat with myself before hand, to remind myself, that the more stressed I feel, the more I probably need to meditate, so no excuses Kaye, sit down and breathe. I can sometimes, try to talk myself out of it, I'm very good at having a "stand off" with myself, but having meditated for over 10 years, I know that meditation is always the answer to my problem. ALWAYS.


I'm also noticing more of my clients have created their own meditation practice or are thinking about learning to meditate, and I want to be able to support you on your journey.

I focus on these 3 aspects of my being each morning.

They help create a beautiful “morning momentum” which sets up my day to play out in a positive way.

This morning, I dropped my girls off at school, and headed to my local beach for a morning walk. Along the way I bumped into a few friends, which was great, and helped shift my mindset in a positive state, I stopped at one of the little beaches along my walk, to meditate for a few minutes, and take in the beauty of the ocean in front of me, before finishing my walk. Moving my body, always elevates my energy state. By the time I hopped into my car, my energy state had completely shifted, and I felt alive and excited about my day ahead. I also listened to an inspirational podcast episode on my drive home, to further support my mindset state, and this has sustained me for my day. Stepping out into nature is often the key for me, her magical powers always transform the way I’m feeling and set me up for an amazing day.

If you are feeling out of balance in your life, stressed in anyway or stuck in indecision, meditation is the answer, and it’s just about having a go.
